Buyer's Guide

Planning Kitchen & Laundry Products

Measure the cabinet openings first

Nominal widths like 600mm are only the starting point. Check the actual appliance dimensions, ventilation clearances and cabinet opening specified by the manufacturer before cabinetry is finalised. Dishwashers, ovens, cooktops and rangehoods all have different installation requirements even when they share the same nominal width.

Match appliances to the available services

Confirm whether the kitchen has the electrical capacity, gas connection, water supply and drainage needed for the appliances you are considering. Induction and larger electric cooking appliances may need dedicated electrical circuits, while dishwashers need both water and waste connections in an accessible position.

Think about the cooking package together

The oven, cooktop and rangehood should be planned as a set. Match the cooktop width to the cabinetry, choose a rangehood suited to the cooking zone, and check whether you want separate built-in appliances or a freestanding cooker. Planning them together avoids awkward gaps and mismatched finishes.

Plan the sink and mixer around daily use

For sinks and laundry troughs, think about bowl depth, draining space and how much bench you want to keep. The mixer needs enough spout reach and height for the bowl, while pull-out or swivel designs can make larger sinks easier to rinse. Confirm tap holes and mounting positions before the benchtop is cut.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What kitchen appliances do you stock?
The current Kitchen & Laundry collection includes Di Lusso ovens, cooktops, rangehoods, microwaves and dishwashers, alongside selected kitchen and laundry wet-area products.
Is a 600mm appliance exactly 600mm wide?
Not always. The advertised size is usually a nominal category. Check the manufacturer dimensions and required cabinet opening before ordering or building cabinetry around an appliance.
What should I check before buying an induction cooktop?
Confirm the benchtop cut-out, cabinet clearances and electrical requirements with the product specification and your electrician. Induction cooktops can require a dedicated higher-capacity circuit.
Do dishwashers need a plumber and electrician?
A dishwasher needs a suitable water connection and waste connection, and the power supply must meet the manufacturer requirements. In a new installation, use the appropriate licensed trades for the plumbing and electrical work.
Can I see kitchen and laundry products in Adelaide?
Reno Supplies operates an Edinburgh showroom. Contact the team before visiting if there is a particular appliance or product you want to see, as display stock can vary.
